Welcome to the North!

The north is the most lively and buzzing part of Mauritius. So, if you are looking for a holiday full of things to do and great nightlife, the north is for you!

Grand Baie’s bars and restaurants come alive at sunset. You can listen to a DJ session at sundown, enjoy live music and let loose in the local nightclubs! There’s also a great choice of fine dining restaurants, cool cocktail bars and relaxed restaurants overlooking the beach.

The north is a great place to go shopping, too. There are plenty of boutiques, malls, shops and markets to pick up some souvenirs, including the Grand Bazar in Grand Baie.

There are a few golf courses in the north, great kitesurfing opportunities and beautiful, sandy beaches. You can also catch a boat from this region to explore the northern islands, including Ilot Gabriel – an island paradise with dazzling white sand – and Coin de Mire, known for its fantastic snorkelling.

There are also plenty of opportunities to experience our culture and history, too. You can visit beautiful mansions such as Château de Labourdonnais or the red-roofed church at Cap Malheureux.

Are you ready to feel the energy of the north? We are looking forward to seeing you in Mauritius!
